Grow Within. Grow Together. Creating healing spaces for you and the relationships that shape you:
Where Your Journey Begins
Every relationship has its seasons — moments of closeness and connection, and times of tension, distance, or uncertainty.
In couples counselling, I offer you a safe and nurturing space to explore what’s truly going on between you — with honesty, openness, and without judgment.
Whether you’re facing repeated conflicts, feeling disconnected, navigating a major life change, or simply wanting to strengthen your bond, our work together will focus on what matters most to you as a couple.
As an expat couple or in a multicultural relationship, you may also be navigating unique challenges — different cultural backgrounds, communication styles, or questions of belonging and identity. These layers are welcome here and can be explored with care, curiosity, and respect.
We’ll gently uncover the patterns, needs, and emotions beneath the surface — and begin to understand how you each experience the relationship. With empathy and attentiveness, I support both of you in communicating more clearly, listening more deeply, and reconnecting in meaningful ways.
This process is not about blame or quick fixes. It’s about making space for each partner to feel seen, heard, and valued — and finding new ways to relate to each other with honesty, respect, and understanding.
Counselling is available in English and German, either in person in Düsseldorf or online — in the setting and language that best supports you both.
If you feel ready to explore your relationship with care and intention, I invite you to take that step together.
Your Next Step
Change often begins quietly, with a conversation.
If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out for a first conversation. Your next step can begin here:
A Glimpse into My Way of Counselling
My approach to counselling weaves together the compassionate, Client-Centred approach according to Carl Rogers, the integrative depth of Roberto Assagioli’s Psychosynthesis , and the insightful perspective of Systemic Constellation work, creating a supportive and holistic space for personal growth.
Psychosynthesis offers a range of creative methods designed to help you discover and nurture your inner strengths. It aims to bring together the various aspects of your personality, guiding you toward a more powerful, authentic, and energized version of yourself. Through client- centered counselling, based on the principles of Carl Rogers, I have also come to understand the healing power of a compassionate attitude, deep empathy, and true authenticity. This approach, especially when combined with Systemic Constellation work, helps uncover unconscious patterns and dynamics within romantic relationships and family systems, bringing them into the light and creating space for new understanding, healing, and deeper connection.

Together, we will focus on lighting your
path rather than staying in
the shadows.

What you might bring – and how I can support you
Living abroad can bring unique pressures to your relationship. As a couple navigating life between cultures, you may experience challenges that others don’t fully understand — whether it’s adjusting to a new country, managing cultural differences, or dealing with stress from life abroad.
In our couples’ counselling sessions, I provide a safe, compassionate space where both of you can explore concerns and communicate openly. In our work together, I hold space for you to open up to each other, understand each other more deeply, and discover new ways to nurture your relationship. Together, we work through the challenges that are most important to your relationship, helping you find deeper connection, understanding, and mutual support.
Many of the couples I work with are facing the complexities of living between cultures and dealing with the pressures of an international life. Our work together can help you strengthen your bond, improve communication, and navigate challenges with more clarity and compassion.
Common areas of focus include:
- Communication & Connection: Strengthening the way you communicate and connect emotionally, even when life abroad feels overwhelming.
- Cultural Differences: Navigating the dynamics of being in a relationship with different cultural backgrounds, while finding common ground and understanding.
- Life Transitions & Stress: Handling the stresses of relocation, career changes, or other transitions together in a way that supports the health of your relationship.
- Conflict Resolution & Trust: Addressing patterns of conflict, rebuilding trust, and creating healthy strategies for working through disagreements.
- Relationship Dynamics & Conflict Resolution: We will work through difficult topics, fostering mutual understanding and strengthening your bond.
- Improving Communication: You will learn to communicate with more clarity and empathy, and explore ways to prevent misunderstandings and escalation.
- Closeness & Intimacy: Together, we will explore how to deepen both emotional and physical intimacy, creating space for connection and closeness.
- Trust & Fidelity: I provide a safe space for you to address issues like broken trust, jealousy, or infidelity, and find healing together.
- Sexuality: This is a place where you can explore your desires, insecurities, and needs, with the goal of enhancing intimacy and satisfaction in your relationship.
- Thoughts of Separation: If doubts or uncertainty arise in your relationship, I hold space for you to explore your feelings and navigate the next steps with calm and respect.
- Parenthood & Partnership: I will support you in balancing the demands of parenthood while staying connected as partners, fostering a healthy dynamic as a family.
- Navigating Crises Together: Whether dealing with illness, loss, or external upheavals, I will hold space for you to find ways to support each other and face these challenges together.
What is the Difference Between Counselling and Psychotherapy?
Unlike psychotherapy, psychological counselling is not a form of medical or clinical treatment. It is designed for individuals navigating life’s many challenges who are seeking support, clarity, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their experiences.
